How it works
What to expect, start to finish
1. Plan Your Aberdeen Session
We start with a conversation about the kind of images you want, whether that is Maternity, Newborn, and Lifestyle Photography, family portraits, wedding coverage, or a boudoir session. We discuss who will be photographed, preferred dates, clothing, location, and any newborn routines or privacy considerations. Sessions are arranged through Jessica Schmierer Photography, based at 52 Macqueen St, Aberdeen NSW 2336, with bookings available Monday to Saturday from 7am to 7pm.
2. Choose The Right Setting And Timing
For an outdoor session, we consider the warm temperate climate around Aberdeen, including hot summer conditions and the direction of available light. Aberdeen War Memorial Park can suit relaxed family or maternity photographs when the setting and weather work for the brief. For clients travelling from Muswellbrook or Scone, we plan timing with travel, children’s routines, and the season in mind rather than treating every session as a standard appointment.
3. Photograph The Real Moments
The session is guided without forcing every pose. Maternity photography allows time for natural movement and personal connection; newborn sessions are paced around feeding, settling, and comfort; and lifestyle photography focuses on genuine interaction in the chosen setting. Family, wedding, and boudoir work is handled with clear direction and respect for each person’s boundaries.
4. Review And Select Your Images
After photographing the session, we prepare the images for review and explain the available selection process before you choose the photographs you want to keep. For weddings and larger family groups, we organise the gallery so important people and moments are easier to find. The exact inclusions, products, and delivery timing are confirmed for your booking rather than assumed.
5. Receive Your Finished Gallery
Once your selections are complete, the finished images are prepared for delivery according to the arrangements discussed at booking. We remain available for practical questions about downloading, sharing, and choosing images for albums or prints. If weather affects an outdoor booking in Aberdeen or the Upper Hunter Shire Council area, we discuss a suitable alternative based on the session plan.
